My wife and I were worried on the pregnancy of our child, Cherry, 36 years old. During the period, she was diagnosed as asthmatic, hypertensive, and diabetic. Although she was on proper medication, considering the limitation of medicines, the worry is still there.

Last October 1, 2012, I was in the office of the Visayas Jurisdiction and got hold of a copy of the September 2012 issue of the Newsletter for the Cause of Venerable Fr. Michael J. McGivney Philippine Edition. Before going to bed at around 10 PM, I read the newsletter. What attracted me most was this article by Brian Caulfield, Vice-Postulator for the Cause of Father McGivney, “In Search of a Miracle”. Invoking his intercession, I fervently asked Venerable McGivney to pray for normal delivery of Cherry whose husband was out of town.

At around 12 midnight, my wife woke me up for the hospital. “Cherry is about to deliver a baby,” my wife hysterically informed me. About 45 minutes after our arrival at the hospital, a midwife informed us that Cherry delivered a healthy baby girl. “How are they?” I asked. “Both are fine,” the midwife said. Praise the Lord! A baby girl was born at about 1:30AM, October 2, 2012. Her husband was accordingly informed that both were fine.

My prayer was answered in few hours later. God must not be sleeping to response on immediate needs. Thank you Lord and thank you Venerable Michael J. McGivney for your intercession.

A month before my son Michael’s graduation last March 2011, I offered a novena for the intercesion of Fr. McGivney so that he will be accepted in one of the companies he was applying. After a month from graduating he was accepted, April 15,2011 to start working. With a good starting salary plus other benefits, it was indeed a blessing from the Lord thru the intercession of Fr. McGivney. After six months he was regularized with addtional pay. THANK YOU, FR. McGIVNEY.

Right after college, I’ve always wanted to land a job that is convenient in our home and where I can put into practice my education as an agriculturist. But that seems so impossible, since landing a job here in our country is so difficult. But that was until my husband joined the Knights of Columbus January of last year. He was able to know the organization and to know Christ deeper esp. Father Michael McGivney. We learned of raising our intentions thru Father McGivneys intercession, late of August last year. For two weeks straight praying to Father McGivney, he answered my prayers. I was able to land a job within our municipality as a job order in the office of the Provincial Agriculturist. This is the job that I have long wanted and prayed. Thank you, Father Mc Givney. Thank you.

I accompanied my aunt last February 2008 (who was 61 years old at that time) to the hospital with stomach pains that turned out to be a mass on her colon. The surgeon told us that it is a risky operation to remove the tumor because of her age and the length of time for the operation to complete. The surgeon also said that my aunt may have a colostomy (or an opening) on her abdomen after her operation. The colostomy will be used as an artificial anus and may be permanent. I and my family prayed to Father McGivney to help my aunt survive her operation. The operation was a success and we were also thankful that my aunt doesn’t have a colostomy which was actually an immense relief for her. Our prayer has been answered through the intercession of Father McGivney.

Thanksgiving to our Almighty God because I was transferred from my previous assignment in Bontoc, Mt. Province to my hometown in Santiago City. Because of this, I am now with my family anytime of the day. The worries are lessened. I can now join them anytime we want to go to mass, and to join to any activities of our council K of C Council 9087.

I am a guild member since 2007. This favor happened last January 2008. I am a sub-contractor for structural steel works for buildings. Last January 2008, me and my main contractor, participated in the bidding for the construction of a 4-storey Building Ramp and the 4-Storey Auditorium building for Grace Christian College here in Quezon City, Philippines. I was the one who estimated the structural steel works of the said buildings for bidding. There were seven contractors who participated on the bidding. While I am doing the estimates, I prayed to Father McGivney to guide me in my estimates so that we will win the bidding. Everyday before the bidding I prayed so hard to Father McGivney, until the day of the bidding. When the bidding day arrived and all the bids have been submitted, I still prayed so hard, and when the bids were opened, I thanked and prayed to Father McGivney because we were the one who won the bidding. The project to date is nearing its completion and I thanked Father McGivney for his answered prayer.

Few months ago, our officemate Dolores suffers from a very serious illness. She is confined in a hospital and for almost a week she is unconcious, she is almost dead. And the doctors did not know what kind of illness it was and they called it a viral infection. I read your website from a K of C magazine and I try to send a prayer intention for her and after a week, she woke up and now she reports back to the office. Thanks to Almighty God that He granted my wishes through the help of Father McGivney. Thanks for the Prayer and God Bless you all the members of the GUILD.
