Image of Fr. McGivney, welcomed at the pilgrimage’s second stop

After a week of stay at St. Joseph Parish, Pototan, Iloilo City, the Image of Fr. McGivney is now transferred to Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Culasi, Ajuy, Iloilo City last September 30, 2012.

Spearheaded by Visayas Deputy Rodrigo Sorongon with State Treasurer Jun Jo and Provincial Deputy Vic Buendia, together with K of C members and the Image, they caravanned from Pototan up to the town of Banate where they were met by Brother Knights of Northern Iloilo.

From Banate, a procession was held towards Our Lady of Fatima Parish with approximately 30 honor guards.

The parish priest warmly welcomed the Image of Fr. McGivney saying that they are lucky to house the 4-feet, gold-colored statue of the K of C founder, whose canonization is underway.

The Our Lady of Fatima Parish is the second stop of the pilgrimage in Visayas, following St. Joseph Parish in Pototan, Iloilo and Jaro Metropolitan Cathedral in Jaro, Iloilo. (Ronalyn Regino)
