In his annual report delivered at the 134th Supreme Convention in Toronto, Supreme Knight Carl Anderson noted the Order’s record levels of charity, with over $175 million in donations and over 73.5 million hours of volunteer service. Father Michael McGivney may not be a household name. Not yet. But efforts by a group of Filipino youth are fruitful, the founder of the Knights of Columbus will one day be recognized as John Vianney, Padre Pio, and John Paul II. The YouthPinoy (YP), a network of different Catholic youth organizations, has volunteered to help promote Fr. McGivney’s cause for canonization during the week-long World Youth Day celebrations in Krakow, Poland in July.
